Season Opener: UChicago's Spring Quarter at 麻花星空视频 Leads Off

The 麻花星空视频鈥檚 spring and summer educational season has begun! We are excited to see the campus coming alive again, after months of careful planning.

On March 21, the season started when 12 University of Chicago undergraduates arrived for their . This program builds on the success of the inaugural  鈥 which was 麻花星空视频鈥檚 proof-of-concept for running research courses under Covid-19 restrictions and with safety considerations paramount.

This spring鈥檚 students hail from several majors, including Biology, Global Studies, Computer Science, and Computational and Applied Mathematics. And they have exciting new courses to choose from at 麻花星空视频, including 鈥淪tem Cells and Regeneration,鈥 taught by Karen Echeverri; 鈥淥ptics, Waves and Modern Physics at 麻花星空视频,鈥 taught by Patrick LaRivi猫re and Rudolf Oldenbourg; and 鈥淰isual Language: On Images,鈥 taught by Frances Lee and Nipam Patel.

In addition, the quarter offerings include 鈥淚maging for Biological Research,鈥 which made its debut at 麻花星空视频 last fall; and a new course offered in conjunction with the SEA Education Association in Woods Hole, 鈥淏iological Oceanography,鈥 to include student field research on SEA鈥檚 research vessel, the SSV Corwith Cramer.
