National Book Award Winner Julia Glass To Share Writing Process at �黨�ǿ���Ƶ Falmouth Forum, April 5

�黨�ǿ���Ƶ, WOODS HOLE, MA— Novelist Julia Glass, winner of the National Book Award for Fiction, will discuss her writing life during the lecture, “Inside the Head of a Novelist,” Friday, April 5at 7:30 PM in the �黨�ǿ���Ƶ’s Lillie Auditorium 7 �黨�ǿ���Ƶ Street, Woods Hole.

This is the fifth presentation of this season’s �黨�ǿ���Ƶ Falmouth Forum, sponsored by the �黨�ǿ���Ƶ (Marine Biological Laboratory) Associates, with a generous donation from the Cape Cod Cooperative Bank. This lecture is also supported by the �黨�ǿ���Ƶ’s Herman T. Epstein Endowed Memorial Lectureship. The event is free and open to the public. The author’s books will be available for sale and signing following the lecture.

Ms. Glass is the author of Three Junes, winner of the National Book Award for Fiction, The Whole World Over, and I See You Everywhere, winner of the Binghamton University John Gardner Book Award.

The New York Times Book Review gushed "Free of gimmickry, Three Junes brilliantly rescues, then refurbishes, the traditional plot-driven novel," and The New Yorker declared, "She writes so well that what might seem like farce is rich, absorbing and full of life."

Ms. Glass has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. Her short fiction has won several prizes, and her personal essays have been widely anthologized. She lives in Massachusetts with her family.

An optional buffet dinner will be held before the lecture at 6:00 PM at the �黨�ǿ���Ƶ’s Swope Center, 5 North Street, Woods Hole. Tickets are $30 (including two entrees, salad, vegetables and pasta or potatoes, dessert, wine, tax, and gratuity) and must be purchased in advance at Eight Cousins Children’s Books, Main Street, Falmouth or at the �黨�ǿ���Ƶ Communications Office (between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM only), 127 Water Street, Woods Hole.
